Heat Wave Electric Construction Heater
The Fostoria Heat Wave electric salamander heater is safe, simple to operate and saves time at the job site.  Heat Wave heaters provide the climate control you need for interior jobs, without the threat of poisoning from combustion by-products or the time wasted in refueling and fuel storage.

Heat Wave heaters are ideal for the construction trades, espcecially drywall contractors and finishers, where drying and curing times are critical.  Unlike propane torpedo heaters, the Heat Wave is safe to leave on overnight because it is thermostatically controlled and emits no humidity or contaminants to the air.  Less down time on the job site means lower labor and greater profitability.

Unlike fuel-fired heaters the Heat Wave can be left unattended.  The built-in safety features are:  continuously variable thermostat and a hi-temperature cut-out switch coupled to an auto-reset.  Both help to prvent accidents.  Since the Heat Wave is powered by electricity it is very quiet and also maintenance free.

Operation is simple.  The Heat Wave's 800 CFM fan pushes ambient air over multiple heat coils, recirculating air within the room until it reaches the temperature level set with the unit's thermostat.  The thermostat adjusts from 40 to 100 degress F.  All units can also be switched to fan-only operation.

The 10 KW, 240 V Heat Wave comes standard with a cord-set:  10', 50 amp, 250V rated cable with straight-blade range plug.  The cable is factory pre-wired to plug into a standard range outlet for emergency heating and drying.  All 240V models can be operated at 50 Hz with only a 14% loss in fan RPM.  15KW heaters do not come with cord-sets.  It is best to purchase cable from a local electrical supplier to ensure appropriate length and range plug configuration.
